For the past several years JOY has been supporting Lutheran Family Services' refugee clients with food supplies and grocery gift cards in Thanksgiving baskets. Last year we provided 25 baskets. This year LFS continues to welcome newcomers as well as foster and adoption families during the Thanksgiving holiday, but due to varied dietary restrictions and cultural requirements, their request for help has been altered. Many of the families lack the practical cookware, bakeware, and utensils to prepare a holiday meal. So, this year LFS is requesting the following NEW supplies: pots and pans, cooking utensils, measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowls, and food storage containers. If you are able to help, please bring these new items to JOY's Donation Station in the church narthex.

Members who prefer to make a monetary donation toward these supplies may give online HERE or provide a check payable to Joy Lutheran Church. In either case, please note "Thanksgiving" in the memo line. The deadline for supplies or monetary gifts is November 12th. Thank you for your continuing support of this important mission.
