It’s that wonderful time of year again—the Parker Mayor's Holiday Lighting! Once again, we have a fantastic opportunity to participate as volunteers, and in return, the Town has graciously provided us with a free booth. This allows us to share invitations to our Christmas services and information about our church with the community. Over the years, this partnership between Joy and the city has been a wonderful experience, and we’d love for you to be part of it! We’re looking for 20-30 volunteers to join us. The role is simple and fun: we’ll be stationed in the park, helping punch tickets for event attendees. Plus, you’ll get a front-row view of the tree lighting and holiday program! This is a fantastic opportunity for families to volunteer together. For more details, please reach out to Dan Turner or sign up HERE. Thanks!
It is time for Parker's Fall Fest. This year we'll again be working at the carnival booths. 20-30 volunteers are needed to run the carnival games on Saturday, September 28th, from 3:30-7p. It is low impact and suitable for families, and we will be glad to sign volunteer hour forms for students. The Town will give us lots of free advertising and several mentions during the presentation. Please sign up on this link.
JOY is seeking a new volunteer coordinator for our Food Club program. This ongoing project is a simple yet meaningful way to assist the worship and music committee with special purchases and unbudgeted expenses. The Food Club coordinator helps members enroll in grocery store loyalty programs that donate funds back from customer purchases. In recent years these donations have totaled over $3,000 and made a considerable impact. Basic computer skills are helpful, but the position is easy, and the time commitment is minimal. For training and information please email Molly.Thank you!
