Winter Shelter Network will be re-opening to provide rest, meals, and connection to homeless women and children in our community beginning January 5, 2023 here at Joy! You can sign up to volunteer below:

  • Set-up Crew: sets up the dining and sleeping room for Guests each Thursday
  • Cooking: provides meals (store bought or homemade) each week for approx. 5-15 people
  • Evening Host: provides a listening ear and friendly face to guests from 5:00-8:00pm Thursdays
  • Overnight Host: spends the night at Joy with a few other volunteers serving as an overnight host to our guests
  • Clean-up Crew: breaks down the room and cleans up on Friday mornings
  • Laundry: picks up bags of bedding and linens on Friday mornings and returns them to Church by the following Tuesday

Come to one of the WSN trainings to hear more about how you can serve this very meaningful ministry:

  • Thurs Dec 8, 6:30-7:30p in the Fellowship Hall; or
  • Sunday Dec 11, 9:15-10:15a downstairs in the Large Classroom.
