Pastor Ryan was ordained as a minister of Word and Sacrament in the ELCA in February of 2016, after graduating from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He was called to be the Associate Pastor here at Joy beginning in August of 2020, coming from a two-point parish in LaMoure, ND, where he served as pastor for 4 years. Pastor Ryan is married to his wife Lauren and together have one daughter, Blakely, and two miniature Australian Shepherds, Luca and Finley. The Jerome family loves to be outdoors and go on family adventures, as well as watch or attend sporting events and concerts, read, have family singing and dance sessions, binge watch their favorite TV shows, and spend time with family and friends. Pastor Ryan is passionate about Youth and Family Ministry, as well as Community Outreach and is thankful to have been called by the Holy Spirit and the people of Joy Lutheran to be a part of this wonderful faith community.
