Shalean was born in Nebraska where she met and married her husband, Curtis, who is a civil engineer with Kimley-Horn & Associates. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada after college graduation but made the move to Colorado in 2001 to be closer to family. They have three daughters -- Amanda, Emily, and Danica. Shalean has worked in the office at Joy Lutheran since June 2019. In her free time, Shalean enjoys road-tripping with her family, taking her dogs for a walk, and reading.
